about us
"This company have a bright future"
The telegraph
Making theatre is our way of changing the world. On The Run devises and creates work that challenges preconceived ideas in society. Our shows have tackled issues such as: grief, bereavement, coercive control and being a carer. We translate our research and autobiographical experience into funny and generous work that connects directly with the audience. Our style is a unique blend of movement, comedy, audience participation and visual theatre.
On The Run has toured the across UK and internationally to outstanding critical acclaim since they debuted their first production So It Goes at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2014. The show went on to tour nationally and internationally with The Times calling it “an extraordinary debut”. It was also selected for the British Council Edinburgh Showcase 2015 and toured to China, Georgia and London’s Southbank Centre.
The company have recently debuted their third piece, Everything I Didn't Say (previously titled The Rebirth of Meadow Rain) at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2019 (Pleasance Theatre). It was developed with support from Shoreditch Town Hall and partnered with UK Says No More and will be touring soon (covid allowing!)...watch this space!
